I have a question regarding mini tubbing. Using the DSE kit for a for a first gen Camaro, will it require you to replace the stock gas tank?

Thanks,

Larry

You can use the stock tank, but it must be narrowed 2" per side to be safe. The guys at DSE take the 2" per side out of the area where the straps go so the mod is hidden when the tank is installed. I believe he's working on offering a tank for the mini-tubs.

I am using a Rock Valley stainless tank with the narrowed specs in mine.

Hi Jody,

Thanks for the input. I like the idea of the stock appearing tank. Are you installing this yourself or having it done?

The cost from DSE seems very reasonable considering the effort that went into the design.

Also, I recall that you had a Tremec in your last 69. What shifter did you use?

By the way, are you heading out to HAN?
