Need help , 69 subframe basketcase rebuild.

Hey guy, looking to rebuild a front subframe on my 69. Its was a basketcase and the subframe was bare. It came with the original control arms( upper and lower) I want to do a pretty much stock rebuild but with a 2 inch drop,what springs , steering arms ect. should i be looking for? Thanks

I would use all stock parts and also consider Hotchkis springs for the front. They are only 1.5 inch drop though.

I would recommend using Moog front end parts in a stock configuration. They are excellent quality without breaking the bank. Get the larger sway bar, not the 5/8. I would also recommend using poly bushings. Don't get the red color .They fade and look like crap.Unless the technology has gotten better since I last installed 'em. And of course someone's front disc brake conversion will get you spindles and the brake stuff. I used Master Power for what it's worth.

I am a great believer in keeping these cars mostly stock with some exceptions, so I would use all stock parts with some minor exceptions.
You might want to check out Pozzi Racing for great articles about 1st gen suspension. FIRST GEN SUSPENSION Read the article about the Guldstrand mod.
