Question 68 REAR Parking Brake Cable Length

My 68 originally had just the front cable and no lever inside the drum brakes. I bought the kit from Right Stuff Detailing. When I went to put in the rear cable, it seems really long between the backing plate and the first frame mount. My car does have subframe connectors, so I really hope a previous owner didn't move the mount back, but I doubt it. Looking at the chassis service manual, it looks like it is in the right place, but it looks like it might go underneath the leaf springs. Should it be this long? Am I routing it correctly? Thanks.

It's supposed to go under the leaf spring. It looks like they sent you a cable for a stretch limo.

Re: 68 REAR Parking Brake Cable Length

Okay, I'm an idiot. I was trying to put the front cable on the back. Oops.

Don't feel bad - I've done worse.
