Hydroboost questions

Hello everyone! I'm having problems with my brakes, hard pedal slow stopping just a nightmare, I've replaced everything, lines calipers, pads, master cylinder, added a vacuum pump as wel, the only thing I did not replace is the booster it's self but it's brand new. Could it be bad out of the package? If not my main question is hydroboost, I put rack and pinion on it with a low flow 850psi power steering pump would this make the hydroboost worthless? Any help would be great I'm smashing my head against the wall!!

Ive heard recently on this forum that if the rod from the booster is pushed in too far either from shipping or misuse that it could possibly render the booster useless

Do a quick search

69 Frost Green Camaro
LS3 with TSP stage 3 cam
Tremec TKO 600
Moser 12 bolt rear with ford ends 3.73:1 Eaton tru trac differential
Speedtech pro touring subframe
Ridetech rear 4-Link

Re: Hydroboost questions

Is the booster doing you any good? You say its new? what size? Those mini-boosters are not the same as the 11" stock power boosters. Also some guys are running a pretty good size cam that doesn't create enough vacuum to make a power booster worth while (especially the small one).

It's an 8 inch dual, I have a vacuum pump to keep the pressure up, I may be able to get a 9 inch in there but it's super tight.

Break booster problem and questions

Ok new booster fixed the issue completely, so if you have a hard pedal and it will not come back up all the way it's a bad break booster.
