Deluxe steering wheel

Purchased a new wheel to replace my standard wheel old wheel had a notch cut in it to line up
with a notch in the steering column shaft, new wheel does not have the notch in the hub and now I cant
seem to get the wheel straight for some reason goes on straight by eye but when I take it out for a drive
its off a little any help getting it aligned straight would be appreciated. The old wheel when lined up with the notches was straight so I don't believe I need an alignment.

Re: Deluxe steering wheel

Make a pencil mark on the steering wheel hub that lines up with the line on the shaft. Take the car for a drive to check the orientation and if it needs to be mounted a spline notch to the left or right you'll be able to see the index.

Get as close to center as you can and then scribe the hub. Get an alignment for any final adjustments.

Re: Deluxe steering wheel

Now scribe the hub inline with the mark on the shaft.
