1967 68 4 Piston Caliper to Caliper Bolts

Hey Guys, I had a company restore two sets of 4 piston Caliper brakes for me. I had one issue with both sets. The top Caliper to Caliper bolts were sent back with new bolts, they are smooth and incorrect . Does anyone know were I can purchase a correct set of bolts. The bottom set are a dime a dozen, everyone sells them. I am looking for the top set only. Thx Tom

If you are talking about the top bolt that clamps the two caliper halves together, I'd ring up the restorer real soon and get the original bolts back immediately.

If you don't get them back, let us ALL know who the restorer is so we'll be aware in the future.

Yes, the top two bolts that join the Calipers together. I can’t find them anywhere. I called the company that restored them. They claim it’s a safety issue with the original bolts. That is why they were replace with new stainless steel ones. The company is located in Texas.

And the restorer just happen to of kept the 2 bolts that are hard to find and expensive?

Your old parts are YOURS, demand them back or exact replacements.

When any replacement/repair work is performed, all old parts are returned to the vehicle's owner.

Safety issue? strange.
Were the replacement bolts grade 8 too?
