Correct Torque on U bolts

Does anyone know the correct torque I should put on new u bolts on my 12 bolt rear end? I torqued them to 75 ft lbs but wasn't sure if that is enough. Thanks

Re: Correct Torque on U bolts

Or you could look in the Chassis Service manual for the listed value of 40 foot pounds of torque once the anchor plate is leveled with the spring perch bottom.

Re: Correct Torque on U bolts

Thanks Big Dave I've rebuilt and installed them years ago but forgot what torque. Should I back them off to 40 lbs?
