I need a new steering column

I'm probably going with an IDIDIT Retrofit 1967-68 Camaro Tilt Floor Shift Steering Column - Paintable Steel - Part# 1120680010 unless you guys have a better suggestion.
Thanks

Re: I need a new steering column

Looks like they sell adapter kits for the various steering boxes you'd find in a 68, so you'll have a normal rag joint coupling it to the steering box:

1967-68 3000054331
Manual Gearbox: 3/4"-30
Includes 1"-48 x 3/4"-30 Rag Joint

1967-68 3000054334
Manual Gearbox: 3/4"-36
Includes 1"-48 x 3/4"-36 Rag Joint

1967-68 3000054340
Power Gearbox: 13/16"-36
Includes 1"-48 x 13/16"-36 Rag Joint

Re: I need a new steering column

Grant has always offered steering wheel adapters. Don't remember my brand of wheel but still a Grant adapter. And I like the Ididit. I got the chrome.

Re: I need a new steering column

Shopping for a steering wheel is almost as bad as choosing a cam grind

I had one in my 68. Great wheel.

It was a little small, though. Needed to be about 1/2" to 1" wider in diameter to be perfect. Really close to just right in my opinion. I'd have prefered a 15" wheel.

Funny enough but they had a pic of my car on their website for a bit in their banner. Didn't ask me for permission but still kind of neat to see.

Sold:
1968 Base hardtop 250 with a P̶G̶ built 2004r
Offy intake
Holley 390 CFM carb
Langdon split header to a 2.5" exhaust
Mild cam
Custom interior

Re: I need a new steering column

I use the FS adapter with Momo Competition Steering wheels in my Protour builds. The Momo adapter is crummy too.

It looks like black is the unanimous choice!
