Steering column to rag joint adjustment?

I installed a new manual steering box in my 68. There’s a gap between the rag joint and the steering column. There seems to be an adjustable portion of the steering column. Will the steering column telescope out a little bit and if so, how do I make that adjustment? Thanks in advance

Re: Steering column to rag joint adjustment?

I'm interested to see anyone respond here. The picture looks like mine did before I changed to power two years ago. I wish the column had an adjustment because the stock '67 2 1/2 turn lock to lock gear box leaves no room.
The AIM dose not say anything about for and aft adjustment only top and bottom angles.

Re: Steering column to rag joint adjustment?

It's been 3 or 4 years since I put my column in, but I thought it was only adjustable in the slots where it bolts under the dash ?
