mono leaf install image

Getting prepared to start putting the 67 back together. It's been so long I don't remember how things went together with mono leaf, spring purches, etc to the rearend. Anyone have an image they would share? Also any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. TIA Pete

Re: mono leaf install image

Good time to add sub frame connectors if installing leaf springs......unless you are doing a complete "stock" assembly

I'll have to research that out. Not familiar with those. And of course what I need is for a convertible so.....

All 1st gen Camaro are "unibody" cars (not full frame cars) with a front & rear "clip". Sub-Frame connectors join the front & rear clips making the car flex les and handle better. Perhaps even more beneficial to a convertible

Several companies make them. IMHO the "Summit" brand is fine and likely the least expensive (ones I installed).

The reason I noted this is they use the same 3 bolts to mount to the rear frame where the leaf spring bolts to

Order or download and print the factory assembly manual. You can put the entire car together using this.
I did.

I still reference it regularly.
