OK guys, I'm having a problem pressing out the ball joints on my lower control arm. Is there a certain tool I need, because as I press down the ball joint, the whole control arm rises on the opposite side. Also, when I try pressing them, the threaded part on the ball moves around. Am I doing this wrong?
It takes a hydraulic press or a special tool.
Press down on the balljoint body not the stud, support the A arm with a piece of pipe on the lower side of the arm it fits around the bottom of the balljoint.
The factory "Helm" manual shows all this and more.
