Installing Hotchkis sway bar

I purchased a 1 1/8" front sway bar for my 69. They say it can be installed by removing the front tires and wiggleing it thru . I have tried to install it twice with no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Yea, I scratched mine up good also. I only hit the frame. Which side did you go in from?

Went in from the drivers side, dropped the pass. a-frame. Then all the sudden it just fell into place. I think you will like the improvement. Good luck John
