moog 69' idler arm k6099 cast iron??

is this a fact that the moog k6099 idler is cast iron??

there is a spicer #450-1013 that fits a 69 camaro,is this a good forged steel piece??

i didn't look up napa,hopefully someone makes an american made forged piece,thanx

I would expect it to be forged like all other steering components.
Have a look at the parting line.. Should be about 1/8-3/16" wide and not a thin flashing.
Same as when you check a crankshaft.

Nov 68 Van Nuys. 327 floor-shift-auto, Frost Green and not much else when new.

Every Moog or Trw idler or pitman even tie rods and relay rods I have seen were forged. There is too much liability for them not to be otherwise.
