Exclamation How to remove master cylinder...?

Ok trying to remove the master cylinder to epoxy prime the firewall, i've got the lines removed the pushrod to brake pedal removed. Do I have to remove the clevis from the rod and pull through firewall or pull the whole thing through the firewall with clevis on the pushrod? Forgive me if this is common sense
