Chevelle & Camaro spindles

I purchsed a front disk conversion kit for my '68 through Matt's Classic Bowties. I have three boxes: booster and lines which is labled 67-69 Camaro, and a left and a right box, but these are labled Chevelle. The left and the right box (all parts from CPP) have spindles, roters, calipers, ect. Is this correct? The Camaro brakes are the same as Chevelle? I am concerned about the spindles. These are stock hight spindles, not drops.

They are the same.

Just use the Chevelle's front steer bolt-on steering arms and clock the caliper brackets right and you are good to go.

hey i just put this conversion on within the last two days. did all four wheels with the matt's classic bowtie conversion kit. i used cross drilled and slotted zinc washed rotors though and it's funny you mention that because last night i put the new coil springs in and then got the new brakes on and in the package i noticed it said something about a 70-79 camaro then like a 68-72 chevelle or something like thatand it made me think hey wait mine is a 67 camaro???? but it is all fine everything is hooked up and works good. so don't worry. hope that helps. , Rich

I think what PDQ meant to say was use the F-body rear steer bolt on arms from your 68 (the F-body and A-body spindles are the same; A-bodies use a steering arm that bolts on with the end forward, because they are front steer), and you'll be fine.

Likewise, the calipers and brackets for an A-body are ahead of the wheel, and the F-body is behind. It's pretty straightforward.

Yes, use the Camaro steering arms, put them on the same side as the caliper.
