Question Restoration colors - steering parts

Hi everyone, glad to be part of Team Camaro. I'm restoring my 69 RS Camaro. I'm having a problem figuring out the proper color for several parts. Anyone know what is the original color of the steering parts listed: Steering arms, tie rods, center link, idler and pitman arm. Gray in color or bare metal? Any site that would aid in all colors and finishes associated with restoring 69's would be appreciated! Thanks, Tony in Florida

Re: Restoration colors - steering parts

Tony -

Welcome to Team Camaro!

Jerry MacNeish's book, "THE DEFINITIVE 1969 CAMARO Z/28-SS396 FACT BOOK", is pretty much a must have. It has a whole Appendix on component colors like this. Here's his site, http://www.z28camaro.com/publications.html, but the book is widely available.

That said, I will try to remember to look up what you need right now, and post back tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.
