17X8 and 17X9 Wheels on my 69..

Looking at getting the Torq Thrust 105M with black centers. Will a 17X9 wheel and tire fit on the rear without rubbing and a 17X8 on front. They do nto make a 17X7 which is what I wanted. Everything is stock...front drum brakes, springs etc. Wanting to do a 4 wheel disc conversion too. Any pros or cons to my ideas? Thanks

Re: 17X8 and 17X9 Wheels on my 69..

Welcome to the site!
The front a 17x8 with a 4.75 backspace
The rear a 17X9 with a 5.25 or 5.5 backspace. Try using the search feature it can be a big help - there is tons of info on this - we regularly beat this to death.

I have also been looking at these wheels but I am not sure if the 6 3/4 with 45mm offset back spacing will fit? on the back, too many numbers for me to understand. I aslo have JL8 type 4 wheel brakes. Any help would be great

Check out these guys.

http://www.coyswheel.com/coys.html

I just put the 18" gray centers on my 69 and they look awsome. The price is nice too.

They will sell you 17-20".

Here is a pic of my 69.

Love the Coys, but my car is Orange with black top and stripes. I think the TTM's with the black centers would look awesome. Planning on getting 4 wheel disc brakes first though. Hawk
