Opinions - Directional wheel same both sides

I found a good closout deal on some off brand wheels that I think will look good on my 68. The wheels are 16X8 with the correct backspacing. The only problem is that when the wheels arrived I found out that although they have a directional look, there isn't a different wheel for each side of the car. So one side will look backwards compared to the other side. Here is the wheel:

I was thinking I would send the wheels back because I don't think they will look right on the passenger side, with the "swoosh" curve going the wrong way. (I can send the wheels back at no cost to me, so that isn't an issue.)

BUT - I really like the wheels otherwise, so before I send them back I thought I would ask your opinions:

1 - Do you think having the directional "swoosh" of the wheel backwards on the passenger side would look funny? (Aren't directional wheels usually different for each side, or is this a common situation?)

2 - Any opinions on the look of this wheel on a lowered 68?

Thanks for you opinions,

Ray

That is a nice looking rim! I think you should keep them.

I think it depends if you're happy with them or not. Most of the major wheel companies have some styles that appear to be directional but I don't see any of them (Billet Specialties - Budnik - Intro - ect) list rights and lefts. I don't think anyone will look at you car and tell you "2 of your wheels are on backwards".

Matters not - as long as the wheels on the same side match.

Re: Opinions - Directional wheel same both sides

Thanks everyone for your opinions, I appreciate the input.

Looks like I was making a big deal out of nothing. I did look at some newer cars and found some with wheels/hubcaps that had this same issue. (I also tried turning them upside down on one side, but it didn't seem to make a difference? )

I think I will keep the wheels.

Now I have to decide on tires.

Thanks again,

Ray
