Will this combo fit?

Will this combo fit on a 68 with stock suspension and drum brakes?
Front: 17 X 7 - bs: 4 - 225/45 R17
Rear: 17 X 9,5 - bs: 5,5 - 275/40 R17

Anyone have any pictures of a stock 68 with this or similar setup?

Re: Will this combo fit?

the front will fit for sure.

The back may get into the inner fender. I run a 255 on a 17x8 with 4 1/2" os backspace. I'm pretty sure a 275 on my existing rims will fit (tho the rim is a touch narrow for a 275) Another inch of rim on the inside would put the sidewall into the inner fender in my 68. Can you get the rims you want with a 5" bs?

Re: Will this combo fit?

I havent picked the rims out yet...Probably go with either cragars or TT2. I have just been looking for the right combo and saw a 69 on here with that set up..Looked sharp!

Would the 5" BS allow for the tire to clear the inner fender as well as not interfering with the outer? I am planning to lower the car 1" down the road...
