Need inexpensive wheel for drag radials

A friend gave me some M/T drag radials. They are 15 x 11" wide. He said the they will work on a 15" x 8" wide rim with a 4.5" backspace. Can anyone confirm this. Then I want to buy a inexpensive pair of wheels. I was thinking some steel wheels. Anybody know where a good place to get them and price?

I think they are 15x10.5 anyway...rallye wheels are what I have my ET Streets on and they fit fine. Most bone yards should have GM 5 lug 15" wheels.

Just went through that with my 67. I am told that it is the same as an s10 rim.

Look into the CHEAP, roundy-round steel rims!!

I want to say "Bassett", "Diamond" and a couple more????

My memory is about as short AS my ----------------- He, He, my left index finger!!

I am, and I will need at least 16's if not 17's!!

Only problem there is that some (the Soft 8 is one example) are very heavy.

I would look into finding a pair of used aluminum 8" wheels. Not sure what kind of price difference you might be able to find, but the weight savings could be worth it.

Driving a #s-matching Z in the rain..... and lovin' it....

Yep, the steel weight scared me off. I found a cheap set of light aluminums at Summit but they haven't shipped yet. Yes, they're cheap because they're homely,,,,, all right, ugly! Maybe I'll cancel.
