taller tire needed?

I have 235/60 15x7 on the front of my 67. When I switched it over to a big block I had BB springs installed. I would like to fill that gap a little between the top of the tire and the fender. At the same time I want to go a little thinner. I was looking at 215/70 15 and also original bias goodyears. all opinions are welcome

235/60/15 is 9.25w x 26t.

215/70/15 is 8.45w x 26.85t

May want to look at cutting 1/2 a coil or adding coilovers ?

Re: taller tire needed?

I think 215 is a little skinny, especially if you are used to those 235's. How about 225/70/15?

225/70/15 is 8.8w x 27.4 t

Now you'll need to remember a taller tire will also raise the front end.

Re: taller tire needed?

don't pay attention to the backgound in the photo lol. Anyway, I definetly don't want a 4x4 and as you can see the 235's are damn wide. How tall were the 67 Z 15" tires and did that look good.
