New 'Halibrand' wheels?

Anyone tried out the new Halibrand 5-spoke wheels that are for sale on eBay? I thought about buying a set but am not sure of their quality. The price seems comparable or a little cheaper than the AR Torque-Thrust Originals.

Thanks, Tony

No one knows anything about these wheels? I did hear they are cast in China. It would be interesting to know where American Racing casts their TT's.

If you are looking for good Halibrand looking wheels made in the USA.. Check these people out. I bought my AC III wheels from them and they have a lot more.

Don, what size and backspace did you order? Those wheels look great.

Re: New 'Halibrand' wheels?

Not sure what to think about the ebay Halibrand auctions. Looks like a few are listed by Halibrand & made in US & think some mention 'quality imports'. I like the way the slotted 'Sprint' style wheel looks and may buy 2 wide ones for the rear and 5 spokes for the front...they ain't cheap
