Talking Fixin to order new wheels Smoothie II's 17x8 18x9 New Stock Springs??????????????????

I'm fixin to order the Smoothie II's 17x8 w/4.75 bs front and 18x9 w/5.5 bs for my 67 at stock height(new springs). I put my friends 17x7 w/4"bs TTT's 225-50-17 and looked pretty good. Any ideas on front tire size is welcome.

Can I go with 275-50-18 on rear? I need to fill up the wheel well because I'm leaving stock height. I'm comparing this set to a 275-60-15 I am using now fills it up ok.

What you think?

Thanks

Re: Fixin to order new wheels Smoothie II's 17x8 18x9 New Stock Springs??????????????

You need to look at height and width of those sizes:

275 50 18 28.83 10.83
275 60 15 27.99 10.83
225 50 17 25.86 8.86

I've got Smoothie IIs on my car (275/40/17's and 245/45/17) and they are kind of pushing it as far as size wise, but not completely unbearable (some scraping at the extreme range of motion). My 275's are the same width as the 18's you want to do, but I need a half inch spacer. Looking back, I wish I would've done 18's just to fill the wheel well a little more (and go with a little bit taller tire). Next time I think I'll go a hair narrower than I've got now just to avoid scraping problems.
