14x7 Steel wheels XT, IF?

Just wondering if these 2 wheels are the same. I heard the IF were installed at the California plant. Were these used on 1970 models?
I am looking to buy (1) of these if anyone has available. Please email or reply with info. Thank You!

Re: 14x7 Steel wheels XT, IF?

I have an early 69 SS LOS car with buildsheet showing IF wheels on the sheet. They (XT and IF code)are basically the same 14 x7 steel wheel. I have seen 3 different manufacturers of the IF wheel and all 3 have there very subtle differences, mostly in the area btween the lugs that cant be seen with the dog dish caps on. What date are you looking for? I have some.

thanks for helping. The date does not matter to me as long as the wheel is the same.

Re: 14x7 Steel wheels XT, IF?

CL is the most common 14x7 steel wheel code for 1970 Camaros. The shape of the center stamping is slightly different from the XT and IF wheels. They're a tough find. Good luck.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

Yes, the CL wheel is for disc brakes. See this post and pictures from Chuck Sharin, member name, CamarosRus .

Look for the grey wheel. I think all 14x7 steel wheels clear disc brakes though. Look closely at the differences in the wheel centers. They may be minor, but they are different. Yellow wheel on car, with dog dish cap, looks to be an XT or IF.

Re: 14x7 Steel wheels XT, IF?

I have 4 original rims off a 1970 Camaro RS with front disk brakes. I put on Baer Track brakes so I can sell to you all four rims if you want them. They will not fit on my car anymore due to the conversion.
