What is the widest tire for rear 1969

With or without rolling the fender well.. I want fat and wide with out rubbing with people riding in the back. Also what slicks do you reccomend just going straight( what size for that)

You didn't say what diameter or width wheels you want to use. A 275 tire is about the biggest if you want NO rubbing. 275/40-17s on 9.5" wide wheels with 5.5" of backspace. Do a search this type of question has lots of reading. If you can be more specific we can advise you better. Also keep in mind lots of variables with these cars. The amount of room you have to work with will vary from car to car. Original sheet metal, rust, and past body damage all have an effect also. Sorry can't help you with the slicks.
