Mini tubs with no Fram Mods.

Hi I plan on going with a G bar setup and I am considering doing a minitub.
Partially because I will need to Redo a shock tower repair anyway.
So my thought is just cut out the shock tower area (al La DSE instructions) and do the mini tub.
So Question is if I did a g bar and a mini tub can I still get some decent size tires under there without cutting into the frame?

Re: Mini tubs with no Fram Mods.

I forget, but isn't the outside, "inner" wall right next to the rear S/F sheet metal??

So you will have to cut at least 1/2 out to create any sort of mini-tub width room??

Re: Mini tubs with no Fram Mods.

It can be done! You will need to take a small slice out of the frame rail for clearence but not much. Check out this site. I refrenced it many times while doing my mini tubs found it very helpful.

Re: Mini tubs with no Fram Mods.

Cutting out the trunk floor behind the wheel well to the frame give you approximately 2" more tire room. So a 275 fits now and the added 2" (50.8mm) should get you approximately 325's now thats a tire
