15" Rally's on a Stock 67

Will 15" Rally Wheels / Tires fit safely on a 67 Camaro RS (stock build)?

Sure, depending on the tire size and backspace. The majority of GM 15 x 7 rallys have 4.25 or 4.5 BS. If you identify a specific set of wheels you're looking at, you can post the codes stamped by the valve stem and we can try to confirm what they are.

If you're keeping stock drums up front, the mounting surface is about 1/4 inch closer to the center of the car than an OE disc rotor, so you need to be careful how wide a tire you put on the rim; too much sidewall bulge can rub the frame rail (usually at the rear) during full lock turns.

I just went through the same thing. Here is what I ended up with
15x8 with 4in back s. on rear with 255/60/15,s
15x7 with 4in back s, on front with 225/60/15,s
here is a link with them on the car a stock 67 with drums all the way around.

Re: 15" Rally's on a Stock 67

Ya -- what Eric said. 15" rally will fit fine, just be careful on getting the right backspace. I'd reccomend 15x7 with 4.25" BS on the front and either the same for the rear or a 15x8 with 4.5" BS.

I had vette rallys (15x8, 4" BS) on my '69 and at the rear I had to trim the wheelwell back a bit and keep the suspension up high to keep from rubbing. The 15x8, 4" BS up front needed a REALLY high front end to keep from rubbing (this was with 235/60R15 tires) Moved to 15x7, 4" BS wheels with the same tires and the outside cleared fine, but the fronts would rub the frame rail at full lock. The 15x7, 4.25" wheels up front should keep you from rubbing the rails and the 15x8, 4.5" rears center nicely out back.

Re: 15" Rally's on a Stock 67

I have read that 15x8 with 4in back space on back will not rub on 67 & 68 but will rub on 69,s because of the shape of the fenders. I have had mine on for some time now with no rubbing. I couldn't make them rub even if i tried. But the 4in back space on 15x7,s in the front with disk brakes will rub. I have drums and no problems. my tires fit just inside of the wells.
Just my experience.

Good luck
