need help ordering the right wheels

I have tried to get in touch with Foose and their manufacturer to order the right wheels for my car but the referred me to my local dealer that doesn't have a clue. I want 17" foose nitrous 2 rims and want to put as big of rim and tire on the rear as possible (inside fender well). stock looking width on front. I have a 15x10 cragar ss on rear with 295 50 and they stick out about 3/4 of an inch. I also have 4 wheel disc brakes. I would like to run a 9.5 275 on rear but don't know what backspacing for front or rear to get. I was told these rims are made to order so i need to get it right. any help would be appreciated.

Anybody running setup like this? Pics?

68 zz502 you did say 17s but the sizes and back space will be the same (you may want to go with 45 series in the front). Some people go 4.75" back space in the front but 1/4" makes very little difference. Do a search on this there is hours of reading. The bottom line is all these cars are a little different including side to side so when you get to these max sizes you need to check before you order. If not you may get slight rubbing or worse. Try to test fit something close. Good luck.

Re: need help ordering the right wheels

Thanks for the info.

I did a little measuring on my car and think (hope) I got it right but I will run it by you to see if it sounds right.

Using the straight edge on rim to hub measuring I got 4" BS inner and 6" bs outer on the wheel. I currently have 1.5" gap from inner tire to inner fender. Using this I was thinking 5.0" bs rim would be the right one with 1/2 " gap

inner fender to outer fender is 12.5" so 9.5 on a 275 or maybe 295 with slight mods. what do you guys think? or do you have any suggestions for other measurements.

Re: need help ordering the right wheels

I run
Front: 17x8 (4.75" backspacing) - 5x4.75 pattern
Back: 17x9.5 (5.5" backspacing) - 5x4.75 pattern

Kumho ECSTA SPT
Front 235/45WR17 - $79
Rear 275/40WR17 - $107

I have no rubbing, but I do have my fender lips rolled. 295 would be a very very tight squeeze, I had 295s on my 15" rims before (Mickey Thompson) and they rubbed.
