Exclamation Torque Thrust II rim damage/repair?

About 2 months ago, I took tire to local shop due to corrosion around the bead. When he was taking tire off rim, it "popped" and cause a few gouges in the back of the rim which isn't all that big of a deal, but also cause on one the out most edge of rim.
He has been doing tires for years and said he has never seen one "pop" like this one.
It is a 16 inch rim and he says he will pay the cost of repairing or replace it.
I have seen in magazines in the past for repair of rims that are dented from curbs etc., but wouldn't you know that now that I need a number, I cannot find an ad. I have searched in so many magazines, I know that I am not crazy.
Can anyone recommend a company that will repair the rim as well as polish it?
I am in desperate need to get it fixed soon.
Before I know it, spring will be here! (Ok, wishful thinking...)
Thanks

Re: Torque Thrust II rim damage/repair?

You might also consider sending it to AR to be repaired. However, it will likely take about 6mths to ever get it back

Re: Torque Thrust II rim damage/repair?

The rims don't really have a corrosion problem. They are like new and have a great shine. I would like to send them all out and get a high polished shine on them and get the one fixed or replaced if it isn't too much.
Thanks for the sites. I really appreciate your help guys!!!!!!

Place here in PA does great work, you could probably email them pics and get an idea of what you're looking at.

Re: Torque Thrust II rim damage/repair?

I run a tire store and had several redone do to people hitting curps, etc.....it cost about 100 bucks. I use a place in Dallas called Superior wheel...it takes about three days, but I am only 2 hours from them. How did he pop the inside and the outside? He should have gripped the rim from the lip, using protective booties. Did the mounting head cause the outter lip damage?
