Stock 69 Camaro will this fit 17*8 F 17*9.5 R

Hey guys I'm almost finished restoring my car after 5 long years. I've read a lot of post but I just want to confirm I'll be ok with this setup:

American Racing Thorque Thrust II
Front: 17x8 4.75 backspacing 245/45/17 tires
Rear: 17x9.5 5.5 backspacing 275/40/17 tires

Will I have any problems with this setup on my car, Stock Suspension. Thanks guys.

Even without it being lowered, you MIGHT experience rubbing on both front and back. Your back spacing is correct, but 245 is pushing it for the front (frame rub), and 275 can cause issues on either side in the rear. But...there are members who swear they fit theirs without an mods.

Most tire places will mount them and then change them if they don't fit. Give it a shot.

run that same set up on mine. I am lowered 1" in the rear and two in the front. I get a small rub every now and then on the front when I turn into a parking lot with a deep gutter, on the rear the drivers side rubbed a little on the pinch weld for the inner/outer wheel well. I installed a small spacer and took a hammer and bent the wheel well inboard, no rubbing now.

You have to remember that these cars are all a little different. Almost 40 years of age - replacement sheet metal - fatigue - abuse - all impact tire clearence when you get to maximum sizes. We're not trying to back out on you - just warn you what you MIGHT be up against. Good Luck.

I've got that rear combo, never noticed any rub till I removed the tires and saw where they had barely rubbed the inner well, but not enough to go thru the bedliner material. And I drive the poop out of mine. I would go 235/45 on the front. My car has 3" drops on the rear.
