Looking for 235 70r14 BF Goodrich Tires for 14x6 rims

I am looking to find Tires for my 14x6 and 14x7 ralley wheels. I currently have 215 70 r14 on the 14 x6 on the front and currently have 235 70 r17 on the 14 x7 on the rear. I have found the 215 70 r14 from BF Goodrich and no one else has the 235 70 r14 available. Any suggestions?

Re: Looking for 235 70r14 BF Goodrich Tires for 14x6 rims

camaro guy,

The P215/70R14 is much more common as that size was OE on Ford Ranger pickup trucks from the mid 1980's until 1990's. Some Ford Ranger's had P225/70R14's later on. The P235/70R14 would be virtually impossible to find as when I was in the auto service & tire service industry from 1989-1998.; I can not recall any car that came with that size or anyone who ever asked for that size, even as an aftermarket replacement.

I ran P245/60R14 on the front of my old 1969 (front drums) on 14x6 Rally's. In the back I had L60x14. Yea, I know. That's a no no but hey I was a young kid back then.

The SSG&H Bottom Line: The Chargers have a better chance of shutting out the Patriots this weekend in the AFC title game than you will trying to find P235/70R14....You will easily find P225/70R14....I just checked for you on tirerack.com. Here is the link http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...t=All&x=51&y=8

As you can see there are 1/2 dozen tires to choose from. Good Luck!

Coker tire is the only one I know of making anything close and it's a 235/75/14. They make 2, one with a 2 1/2" whitewall and the other with a 1" whitewall.

FWIW, I just bought a set of Cooper Cobra tires in P225/70R14 and using GPS my speedo is dead on accurate even at 75mph. I previously had P205/75R14 and it was pretty accurate as well. I thought the Cooper's were much better looking than the BFG's.

When did they stop making P235 70R14 tires? That is the size my car currently has on it. They are BFG T/A Radials that I bought in the late 1980's. I was looking to replace them.

The last post in this thread was Feb 2008 so some time before that... All the manufactures are quickly moving away from 14" & 15" tire sizes as there is a very limited market. I think anyone looking for more traditional tires will find going to a speciality tire outlet like Coker Tires about the only option over the next few years.

Thanks Dennis. I totally overlooked the date on the posts. That is what I was afraid of. It looks like I could get something about the right size if I find a set of 15x7 rally wheels with the correct backspacing. I am kind of worried about diameter I don't want to go any smaller, an inch larger would be even better.
