Re: tire size

You should be ok w/ a P245/50/R16. It was a very common size for Camaro's first used on 3rd gen's with the 1985 IROC-Z 16" tire option and continued through 2002's 4th gens.

If you want more of an all season & touring tire you can use P235/55/R16. That was first used on the 1991 & 1992 Z28's as the standard size in a Goodyear Eagle GA with the base 305 engine. It's a "touring" tire.

The overall diameter for the P215/60/R16 is 26.15". The sidewall height is 5.07" The radius is 13.07". The circumference is 82.15". The revolutions per mile are 795.4

For a P235/55/R16 it is 26.17". The sidewall height is 5.08". The radius is 13.08". The circumference is 82.21". The revolutions per mile are 794.8.

The P235/55/R16 is nearly identical in size to your P216/60/R16. If you don't want to mess around with speedometer calibrations and don't plan to go corner carving I would roll with that size if your car is a V6 powered Camaro.

If it's a V8 powered Camaro then put a ZR rated P245/50/R16 then go rock n roll around those turns.
