Red line tyres, Ricks 1st gen.

I want to buy a set of red line tyres for my 67 RS. Its a 6cyl 250cui model, what size would it have from the factory?

Im leaning towards Firestone Wide Oval F70x14
Whats the difference on the red line tyres on Ricks 1st gen

Part No. FW0-1

There is a slight difference in the diameter, one is a "D" the other an "F".

Re: Red line tyres, Ricks 1st gen.

Go to Coker Tire here

http://www.cokertire.com/

b/c Ricks is probably buying their tires from Coker and reselling them.

Coker bought the OEM moulds and just bought up what used to be Firestone racing slicks if not mistaken?? so they are slowly corning the old tire re-pop business! They recently bought out Phoenix Racing Tires!!

A D-70/14 is right at 25.3" to 25.5" tall depending on brand and measures a modern 200-70/14. They came stock on my '67, 350SS car.

I never measured the F-70/14 b/c I never ran them, only D-70/14's and E-60/14's in front and D-70/14's and L-60/14's on the rear.

I want to say that an F-70/14 is like a 225-70/14, but I may be a bit too big?? Maybe a 220-70/14 instead?
