Wheel code AZ K185 15x8 rally wheel ID

These wheels are K185 AZ 15x8 wheels. What is the backspace of thesewheels? Can anyone tell me if a p225/60/15 bfg tire with 15x8 ralley wheels will work on a 69 camaro coupe with drum brakes on all 4 wheels?

Re: Wheel code AZ K185 15x8 rally wheel ID

The information I have is "AZ 15X8 B-4 69-82 Corvette"
As for the tires, the standard backspacing on a 15 x 7 Camaro wheel is 4.25, so a wheel with less back spacing and 1 inch wider is going to cause problems with wide tires, you may be OK with 225,s,
I know from personal experience that 245x60x15 rubbed badly on the rear with 15x8" with 4" backspacing.
I can't comment on brakes as I had 15x7,s on the front with disc's.

I have the AZ's 15x8 Corvette rims on my 68 Nova cars and they work fine. Back in the 70's 15x8 Cragars SS,Ansen mags were used and some even used the 15x10's with L60's and N50 tires.Lots of air shock and leaf spring shackles used back then.More HP more tire, more traction....

Re: Wheel code AZ K185 15x8 rally wheel ID

I have the same 15x8 Corvette rally rims but they are AZ JJ. I planned on putting 255 60 15's, but now am not sure. I believe i will have to go with a 235 60 15 to be safe. I am not sure of the backspacing on my rally rims, but i'm starting to think they are 4 inch bs due to some user comments on this site.
