Trying to help my dad, Help please!

My dad has a 67 camaro RS that will probably be lowered like 2 inches or so and will have disc brakes all around for sure. He's thinking he wants 18's in the front and 19's in the back. How wide can he go front and back for wheels and tires without tubs or anything? Any advice, help, and or pics would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks everyone. Also, any wheels with a deep lip out back, probably 5 spoke, that you think would look good post up!

Re: Trying to help my dad, Help please!

The same rules for tire sizes and wheel widths apply for 17s - 18s - 19s - or even 20s. The tire aspect ratio changes to keep near the same overall height (that's where +1 +2 sizing comes from). Here's a thread from the pro-touring forum that should help. The 2nd page has the backspacing. https://www.camaros.net/forums/showth...&highlight=19s

By the way welcome to the site. Also use this forum's search function. Search "18s" or "19s" and you will get lots of reading. These what fits and what hits questions come up constantly. You will also read all these cars are a little different and what works on one may not work on another. Yeah I know confusing. Just keep reading and ask questions when you're not sure.
