67-68 Camaro owners post your 17s!

Hey guys please post your 17" wheel and tire combo on your 67-68 Camaros. Post up photos along with the wheel width and backspacing as well as tire size.

I have a 68 Camaro and plan on going with 17" Torq Thrust IIs but would like to see the widest wheel tire combo I can fit without rubbing. Also would like to see how they look and what backspacing and wheel sizes are ideal for this year Camaro.
I've seen that 69's are a bit different so the fitment would not be the same since they have a different rear wheel well. But feel free to post your 69 if you want to add some sweet rides to this thread with 17s...

So... lets see those 17's!!!

Re: 67-68 Camaro owners post your 17s!

I just pulled all the '67s out of the thread Al linked to and will be doing the '68 and '69s the same in the next day or so...

https://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=153144

It's more than just 17's but is all '67s with pic's and sizes.

Thanks DjD!!! I greatly appreciate you doin that. You the man!

Let me make sure I'm right about wheel and tire fitment... but the 67 and 68 are basically identical as far as rear wheel well and the similarity of what they can fit right?

Yes for the most part but keep in mind the '67 came with mono-leaf rear springs and the shocks are not staggered like the '68 which may come into play with wheel and tire fitment.

I'll try to do the same with the '68s next...

Re: 67-68 Camaro owners post your 17s!

I doubt very much if you have to worry about stock '67/'68/'69 lower shock mount problems w/ 17's b/c I figure they will tuck up inside like mine did w/ my 5.72" b/s Bullitt's, but w/ 7/16" spacers.

I have since bought 1-1/4" adapters/spacers to better center them in my rear wheel wells long ways.

Looks great bubby7m! Do you happen to have any photos of the car from a rear angle, or rear-side angle by any chance?
Thanks.
