Re: Mini Tub?

with the right backspacing (for me that was 5.5" with drums brakes) 9.5" with 275 tire. I have seen a 285 as well. Each car is a little different, but many can run this size. I ran a 275/40/17 on a 17x9.5 rim with no tubs.

275 max w/ 5.5 b/s....I now run 17x11 w/ 315/35/17...mini tubs. I have about 2" to grow as well!

Re: Mini Tub?

I am not sure with 69's but on my 68. I rolled my fenders and it gained about 3/4 inch on each side. Something to consider. Mine is now mini-tubbed and narrowed rear. Now I have 335-30-18's.

Re: Mini Tub?

Even after mini-tubbing I found I had roll the fender lip on the driver's side to fit my 335/35/17s on a 17x12 rim due to the body being offset about 3/8 of inch to the driver's side. The suspension was centered but the body offset a bit. I don't think that is uncommon given the tolerances of the day.
