Painted wheels

I don't have the money for substantial mods so I'm working with what I can to enjoy the car for now. I replaced the rear shocks and painted the wheels. I wanted another set of wheels but don't have the money for them right now. Hope I didn't upset anyone be doing this but they are 14x6(front) 14x7(rear) Ansen Sprints. They were on the car when I bought is so.......

And this is a sig picture I made....

I think they came out great for a rattle can. Need to soon get all matching center caps and new lugnuts but that'll come in the next pay check or two.

Re: Painted wheels

Looks okay, and you can always strip the paint and spend time polishing to get them back if you need to.

Re: Painted wheels

I know. I just have never liked polished wheels. They look good on other people's cars but I just never cared for them on mine. The car has a "rough" look to it with white paint here, primer all over, alittle rust here and there with body alignment alittle off in places. I figured I go with the "rough" look with the wheels and go all black with the white letters. Nicely polished or shiney wheels wouldn't match the car's personality right now, lol. They might be too nice for it, lol

Re: Painted wheels

You could take the spoilers off, turn the black walls out,put a ginormous mean ole big block in it with some really quiet hidden pipes on it and have the best "sleeper" car going...as a painted ralley wheel man myself I like it!!

Re: Painted wheels

Thanks guys! I was actually thinking about going ahead with the drivetrain and then worrying about the body to have a sleeper. I was going with either a Procharged iron 408 or NA aluminum 427 LSX. Still unsure though. I believe I will go ahead with the frame off resto-mod idea cause the rust on the underside is bothering me. I hate it being there and I hate knowing it's there, lol.

Re: Painted wheels

I like the black wheels, and agree it makes the car looks tough!
