Re: identify this wheel - pic

That's a 67 cap if that makes any difference. Without the letter codes and numbers it's pretty hard to nail it down any better.

Mark,

If they're the one's on craigslist where they say "don't bother me for the codes" I'd stay away from them.

Thanks Dave, they were. They've been on there for months and the price keeps dropping.

they are 14". owner says they're off a '69, but as the previous poster noted, the hub cap is a '67.

Re: identify this wheel - pic

I think they look like 14 x 7, deep as that trim ring is, so if they are OE 69 Camaro they should be YJ. I don't know what other models used 14 x 7. Chevelles? Vettes used 15 inch. Other model years used 14 x 6. It is not unheard of for guys to switch to 67 centers; some think they are better/cleaner looking, and they stay on a heck of a lot better...

Are they a good deal? If you can confirm they are 14 x 7 at least and that they are straight, and the price isn't bad...

The tire looks older, so unless he can give the DOT coding off the tires and they are fairly recent (tires do have a compound life...been there done that, replaced a right rear QP following a tread separation), the tires probably should not be factored in the price.

If we're talking less that $200 for the set, it would probably be worth a shot. More and you'd have to sure what you're getting. Much less, and let me know where they are (don't worry, I am all set for wheels)

Re: identify this wheel - pic

He's down to $250 firm, which is down from $400 firm months ago. I haven't seen them in person. Also, am I correct in saying that 15" wheels were only on Z28's for 1969? (speaking only of Camaros).

Re: identify this wheel - pic

Yes. 15x6 on 67-68 Z28, 15x7 on 69.

If for $250, seller can't be bothered to pull a trim ring or two to give codes, I guess you might want to pass.

But, if they are YJ wheels, the only usage I see is 69 SS Camaro and 70 SS Nova.
