15x8 Rally Wheel question

Does anyone have Wheel Vintiques 15x8 rally wheel on there '69? I want to get the wheels tucked in a bit more and was thinking the 15x8 with 5 inch backspacing would look better. But heres my question, My car wont have a rolled fender lip,and I want to run a 255/60/15. Just wondering if anyone has this combo, and if there are issues with clearance inside or on the outside quarter lip. I seen a white '69 with a 4.5 inch back space and a 255 in the '69 wheel and tire combo sticky, but it does not say if he did any mods to the quarter. Any help would be appreciated

Re: 15x8 Rally Wheel question

My 15X8, 4.5 BS and 245/60/15 rears fit with no problem on my '69. The quarters are not modified but I do have 1.5" Global West lowering springs. I'm sure 255's would fit on my car without any rubbing. 5" BS might be pushing it on the inside though.

Re: 15x8 Rally Wheel question

Great, thanks for the reply. Mine is lowered also 1.5 Hotchkis in the back, and 2 inch in the front. I just want to make sure before I spend the $ on them. My car is in the body shop now getting painted, and I dont want to roll the lip of the quarter. I will go with the 4.5 then....Thanks!
