What size tires do I need in the front for 15" rallys

I have a 69 camaro with 14" steelies in the front and 15" rallys in the back. I bought two 14" rallys to replace the steelies however, they don't fit because they rub on the caliper, even with spacers.

I am currently looking for two 15" rallys for the front and I want to know what size tires will look good on my 69. The tires I have on the back rallys are 235/60/15....Is this tire size too big for the front?

I'm running 235/60/15 on 7" 4.25 BS on the front and 8" on the rear with drums all around. The fronts scuff the frame on tight turns. It looks good if you can live with the scuffing. Discs may move the rims out some, I'm not sure.

King 69, maybe mount your rears on the front and go for a drive around the neighborhood to see if they'll scuff... in the dark, of course.

First, welcome to TC!

Second, we have a sticky at the top of our wheel and tire forum that has some ideas of what combos work on which model year. Because the wheelwell/fender openings are different, knowing what fits 67-68 doesn't help, because 69 is different.

The sticky for 69 has a lot of aftermarket combos, but if you read through them all, you'll see sizes that work with OE rallys. Most common size for a 69 front in 15 inch is the 215/65 15 mentioned earlier. Make sure the 15x7 rallys you get have enough backspace, as there are different BS available both OE and aftermarket. Really need at least 4.25 inch BS up front on a 69 to avoid rubbing the fender bolts at the top of the opening.
