will it fit up front? 245/45/17

i am looking at running a 17 inch wheels all the way around. id like to run a 8 or 9 inch wide wheel.
the 8 inch would have 4.5 inches of bs.
the 9 inch would have 5.0 inches of bs.

id like to run all four tires and wheels all the same all the way around. i have the hotchkis 2" springs up front and 1.5 drop leafs in the rear. i am also using speed tech uca and lca.

my question is can i run the 245/45/17 in the front with either of these wheels?
maybe drop back to a 245/40/17?

What year car..?

8's will fit 1st Gen Camaro's no problem but 4.5" b/s isn't enough,you'll be too close to the outer fenders,preferred b/s is 4.75-5" on a 8" wide wheel...perfect tire is the 245/45-17.

9's will be real tight on a first Gen...

Gotcha.

I'm no expert on 67-8's but I think a 7" wheel works better up front than an 8,I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will check in...

i seen a sweet 69 in a thread that had blacked out (steel?)wheels on it. it looked awsome. id really like to replicate that look. i think the care was orange and parked on a road over looking a desert type suburb.

Bucknaked, We do a lot of colored centers these days. As John mentioned, a 8" wheels needs at least a 4.75 to 5" BS.
