American Racing Torque Thrust 2's

The wheels that everybody is running to allow a 245/70/17 tire. Are they a special order from American Racing are is it one that is a common production run. I am talking about the 17x9.5 with 5.5in backspacing. What is the bolt circle is it 5 on 4.75 are 5 on 5. Thanks for your time. 68 camaro

Imagine that. They list everything in stock!! Always call and check. We used to have them built for stock, but with everything being slow it's hard to justify that extra (custom build priced) inventory sitting in the warehouse!!

No they don't list everything in stock, a lot of the wheels show shipping dates out to mid March... Good advice to call and check, no matter who you buy online from!

Re: American Racing Torque Thrust 2's

Thanks everyone, for the help. I guess that this tire and wheel combo will work on a 1968 camaro with rear drum brakes. 17"x9.5 with 5.5 backspacing and 275/40/17.

Even though us and Summit normally stock that wheel, it is not a production run wheel!! They are made at the custom shop and not in the mass production line. Costs more!! They do produce alot at a time though.
AR makes a 9.5 wheel with a stocking part number, but it is for the later Camaro (6.5 and 7.0bs) and a 9.5 wheel with 5.5bs in 5" bolt pattern for a truck!!
All of Americans stocking part numbers 505 are now 515 one piece cast wheels!!! The custom backspacing wheels 405 are still two piece construction. Hopefully they will start casting the 9.5 with 5.5bs, it will become more affordable and stocking it will be easier.

Are you sure on that front wheel b/spacing...?
I didn't think AR offers 1/4" incremental b/s on that wheel,I know 4.5" is pretty common with them and doesn't fit these cars very well.

Re: American Racing Torque Thrust 2's

What is the going price for a set of the 17x9.5 with 5.5 backspace? And any ideas of anyone that may have them in stock? Everyone that I have talked to said it is a custom build with 4-6 weeks build time. Any help??
