Choices Choices

Aight, I sold my rims and tires tonight off my 69. I was looking at TT2's or possibly Old Schools for the price...They are just a little too triangular for me..I'm wanting something a little more modern than the TT2's..more angular I guess I should say..Foose legends are alright..just to thick looking to me..I really like the NewGen Thrashers..but sticker shock scared me away real quick. Be over $2G's for the rims alone. Any ideas?

I like the Rocket Igniter, it has that Rally wheel look, without being too over the top. Do they come in 17x8's and 17x9.5's with custom backspacing?

seriously doubt it...you'll need to look at something like VWW for custom b/spacing.

Re: Choices Choices

The Billet's are to flat for me, no depth at all. Damn I'm picky..lol. Rocket Boosters are okay, but only come in 17x8's. Wanting 9.5's for the back or 9's if I had to. Any clue what backspacing for an 8" or 9" rear if I have to go that route??? And if you swap in a 8" in the rear can ya still run a 275/40?

Re: Choices Choices

Rocket Booster in 17x8 has 4.50bs. In 18x8 4.75bs-18x9 5.25bs. You can still go with that tire on the 8. Check out the orange 2nd gen Camaro on Rockets website. It has 18x7 and 18x8 with a 275/40/18 rear tire.

Re: Choices Choices

I wanna stick with 17's, most 18's I see on a first gen are too much wheel & too little tire. Right now I'm pricing TT2's..I'm just looking around to see If I can find something a little more modern in the that style..Like the NewGen Thrasher or something in the TT2's price range

Re: Choices Choices

I guess I'm going the AR TT II route. I went up to the part store in town for somethin else, got to B.S.'n with a friend that works there, he made a call, $1,350 bucks out the door for 17x8's and 17x9.5's. Supplier on the phone thought they were high even..lol. My friend said wait a day or two, and I'll call em back and I can get him to come down some, might not be much..but he'll budge a little. So now to tires, and brakes, and rearend, and on and on and on..lol
