1967 rearend replaced by 1970 rearend

Just found out my 67 Camaro rear end is a 1970 rearend. The 1970 rear end is 55 1/4" and the 1967 is suppose to be 54 1/4" flange to flange. I was going to put some AMR Torq thrust II 17" wheels mounted to 255 50 17" tires. Will a 4 1/2 backspacing still fit without rubbing the tires or do Ihave to have a deeper backspacing? Thanks, Greg
