HELP - 18 x 8 wheels to front of 67 vs tie rod end

Help - i want to fit 18x8 rims on the front of my 67 Camaro. Recommended back spacing is 5 1/4" but my tie rod end is in the way. My car has Superior 2" drop spindles and steering arn is cast into the spindle. What can i do? Do i need to get another spindle to get the tie rod back further? Otherwise i will need to go to an 18x7 rim with 4 3/4 back spacing - the trouble is that i probably cant get this back spacing with the wheel i want. Any info greatly appreciated! THANKS

I think your problem is the 2" drop spindles.... I have 18x7 with 4" back space and Hotchkis 2" lower spring with NO issues... But i know the 18x8 will work but if im correct its without the 2" drop spindles.

Search the forums for tire/rims and look up 2" drop spindles.

Thanks guys - this website is awesome. I appreciate your advice & passing on your experience. I will go back to the standard spindle & ensure that i can mount my wilwood calipers etc!

I've got Global drop spindles and 18x8s and it fits fine. I need to check my BS I forgot. Its tight, but fits fine. I got the Wheels from Prodigy and his BS was dead on for my set up.

5.25 to much BS anyway unless your spindles widen the track. 4.875 mucho better!
