How to clean old tires?

My tires have years of Armorall buildup on them. What's the best way to clean them down to bare rubber?

Just avoid any products with either petroleum or ammonia in them.

Re: How to clean old tires?

My favorite tire cleaner has always been Westleys bleche white. Spray it on a wet tire, give it a quick scrub, hose it off and the tire is super clean and looks like new.

Re: How to clean old tires?

Thanks, I'll try it. I've seen it for years but have never tried it.
