opinion on these wheels....

just wondering what you guys thought of these wheels and tires i found on e bay. thinking about pulling the trigger. just not sure how they will look on my 69' rs/ss azure turquise camaro. opinions welcome. have not seen these TT style w/ the gloss black painted spokes on any of the cars on here. can get 17x8 up front and 17 x 9 rear w/ tires for about 1200

Re: opinion on these wheels....

Personally, I like them. Don't know how black wheels will look with a turquoise car though. They seem to go with only a couple of colors but that may just be me. Just make sure the backspace is correct....4.75" front and 5.5" rear works really well with those sizes.

I like them... I especially like the satin ring... pretty cool... what size tires do they come with? I may be interesed in a set if they have the polished ones...

Spokes too dark IMHO,will clash with that Blue...could always be painted though.
What is the backspacing...?

Re: opinion on these wheels....

I would ask the manufacturer's name and find out where they are made and if there have been any QC issues. That may be a low price for a wheel/tire combo in those sizes, but it is way too much money to throw away if the wheels are offshore garbage.

Yes, I am concerned that the gloss black may not look right w/ the blue, or maby it will look great. just can't visualize this one. i know the flat wrinkle coat TT's look pretty good w/ blue. maby i should play it safe and go w/ grey/silver. I don't personally like polished or chrome.

seller list the wheel mfg. as "Licenced by American Racing Wheels". If you look closly you can see the AR logo on the center cap.

back spacing is: 17x8 4.50" w/1 1/2 lip size
17x9 5.00 w/ 2 1/2 lip size

maby the photo will help......

That vinyl top might just tie them in.

Re: opinion on these wheels....

Well im going against the grain and say that the black centers wont complement the collor at all IMO. I personally think full polished would look best but thats just one oppinion.

Re: opinion on these wheels....

More importantly the backspace is all wrong. Not to rain on your wrench man, and if you car sits 4x4, than these might work, but will still sit outside the fenders.

Ideally you should be looking for a 4.75-5.00" 17x8 front, and a 17x9 with a 5.25-5.5" backspace. Just a warning if you get them, and think they'll clear without a problem.

Look at Foose wheels on Ebay, they come in the right width, and backspace.
