Another wheel and tire question.

I have a 67 coupe with all stock suspension, drums front and rear and I want to put new tires and wheels on.
Ok will this combination work on my car.I want to go with TT2 and
BF Goodrich g force sport.
Front: P 225/45/17 on 17x7 4.00 B.S.
Rear: P255/45/17 on 17x8 4.75 B.S.
Doing some research on this subject I think this combination will work on my car but if someone doesn't think so please chime in.Thanks

Re: Another wheel and tire question.

Yes it should work well without any modifications... I am testing a 225/50/17 on a 17X8 with 4.75 bs and it fits perfect in front... and i believe the front you have listed is the largest tire you can run on a 7 in without rubbing...and you should be able to run the 8 with 4.75 bs on the rear without any trouble... and they look great on 1st gens!!!

Re: Another wheel and tire question.

Yeah, those sizes have worked just fine in the past. I've even gone as tall as a 225/50 front and 255/50 rear with Nitto NT450s and they have really filled up the wheel wells nicely, but still leaves enough room to lower the car.
