MT ET street radials on rear of 67-68's

Does anyone have pictures & what sizes are yours?

Planning on a 255/60-15 or a 275/50-15 on 8" rallye wheel.
Hoping to see some pictures if possible.

Read through about 100 posts & still haven't made up my mind.

May also consider a set of Hoosier drag radials as their 275/50 is slightly narrower than the MT... Don't want my fender trim chewed up.

Any suggestions or problems with your setup?

I have the 275/50-15 mounted on 8" draglite wheels 4.5 backspace I believe. They stuff in about as much tire as the wheel opening will hold. My rear springs are fairly stiff so no turn rub driving and no rub at track.

Here are a couple pics of my 275/50/15's on 8" rims with 4.5 backspace. They are a close fit to the inside wheel well. I get a little rubbing if I take a corner too hard. Outside clearance is fine but my rearend is not lowered. Next time I will probably try 255's

I run 255/60/15s M/T DRs at the strip, 15 x 8 with a 4.5" bs and there's no rubbing at all even on my lowered car (hotchkis leafs and 1" blocks)

check the August 2010 issue of Car Craft for pics

Thanks for the info guys. The 275's are definitely a lot of tire.

Currently running a 245/60, but it is all over the place in the first 3 gears.
I'm caught between making it hook & keeping it stock looking.

I also thought about the Hoosiers as they are slightly smaller in width than the MT 275/50... about 25.7 tall x 9.5" tread.
